HOLLISTER, Mo. – Indiana State closed the fall 2021 season at the Ozarks National Invitational as the Sycamores finished 14th overall to wrap up the 54-hole event.
The Sycamores finished with a score of 969 (+105) to finish ahead of Ball State (+112) in the standings to cap their final fall tournament.
It was a tough course for the Sycamores on the final day, but two athletes from Indiana State completed their lowest laps of the week in the third round. Chelsea tomorrow (79, +7) clocked her lowest round of the tournament to finish second overall in the Indiana State roster, while Iyoun Chew (83, +11) lost three strokes under their previous best score of the week to conclude the tournament.
Lauren Green (+22) tied for 54th place in the peloton after its final round 78 (+6). The Merseyside, England native recorded six bogeys in the final day to finish among Sycamore’s best players on the pitch.
Chelsea tomorrow (+25) tied for 62nd after his last day 79 (+7). She landed one of three ISU birdies that day, with the 18th hole concluding the tournament.
Madison Branum (+25) tied with Morrow for 62nd overall after his final round 82 (+10). The runner-up also birdied the 18th hole of the day to end the week.
Kristen hobbs (+33) finished 76th overall to close the tournament with a final round of 82 (+10). The second year birdieed the opening hole of the day to showcase his round.
Chew (+39) finished 80th overall in the peloton as the rookie made the biggest stroke improvement by the Sycamores on Wednesday. The Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia native posted a total of 83 (+11) in the final round to cap the fall.
Indiana State will announce the spring 2022 women’s golf program at a later date.
