Create a poster for a chance to win one of 21 prizes, including FREE tuition and fees for the 2022-23 or 2023-24 academic year! The contest will take place before College GameDay airtime on Saturday morning.
Price
- The grand prize winner of the competition will receive FREE ONE YEAR TRIP – tuition and fees* applicable to the academic year 2022-23 or 2023-24.
*in-state tuition and fees at the undergraduate rate - 10 people will win $500 free dining dollars to use at any App State Campus Dining outlets.
- 10 people will win $250 free dining dollars to use at any App State Campus Dining outlets.
All awards can be applied to the current academic year (2022-23) or the next (2023-24).
Participation criteria
- ONE-YEAR FREE RIDE Grand Prize (1 winner): All current or prospective undergraduate or graduate students in the App State are eligible to win the Grand Prize
- Dining Dollars Prize (20 winners): open to everyone, regardless of student status
All winners must be available to take to the field during the App State vs. Troy University game beginning at 3:30 p.m. Winners will receive a ticket to the game and a game pass.

Nope:
- Coarse, vulgar or offensive language, photos or graphics, including anything relating to the other team.
- Political or religious content.
- Sales pitches – anything that promotes a website or business.
- Misspellings.
Judgement
- Those wishing to enter the poster contest must be at the Sanford Mall with their posters BEFORE 7 a.m. on Saturday, September 17. Winners will be chosen by 9:30 a.m. You don’t need to be at the College GameDay Pit to win the contest, but contest winners may be invited to join the pit.
- The judges for the competition are Stephanie Billings, Executive Director of Alumni Affairs, Dr. Shannon Campbell, Dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts, and Dustin Kerns, Men’s Basketball Head Coach.
- The grand prize winner will be announced live during College GameDay. All winners will be announced publicly during College GameDay breaks.
The fine print
The names, images and posters of the 21 winners will be used for App State advertising and ESPN College GameDay.
The grand prize is the cost of in-state undergraduate tuition and fees for the 2022-23 academic year OR the 2023-24 academic year. The App State Student Accounts team will contact the Grand Prize winner for assistance in applying the tuition and fee credit.
Any awardee receiving a financial aid package with App State will be contacted by the university’s financial aid office for assistance in applying applicable earnings to their aid package.
All prizes are subject to all applicable state and federal tax regulations.
For the purposes of this competition, the terms “Tuition and Fees” and “Free Ride” are defined as the cost of in-state undergraduate tuition and fees for the 2022-23 academic year OR the academic year 2023-24. “Dining Dollars” refers to a gift card for use at all App State Campus Dining outlets. Dining Dollars can be used by any member of the general public.
No purchase of any kind is necessary to enter the poster contest.
All entrants must be at least 18 years old to be eligible to win the poster contest.
To be eligible to win the Grand Prize, entrants must be at least 18 years of age and must be academically eligible to enroll in App State.
