TECHNOLOGY company Microsoft Philippines announced on Tuesday that it has been approached by Security Bank Corp. to help create innovative solutions to ensure a faster, customer-centric banking experience.
“Today, Security Bank’s sales operations process, from proposal preparation to approvals, is fully digital and streamlined,” the company said in an emailed statement.
Microsoft noted that Security Bank, a national private universal bank, conducted extensive analysis to identify challenges in its customers’ operations.
“Preparing, finalizing and securing approval of business proposals was one of the areas of growth identified, as document management was done manually, which negatively impacted the productivity of the business team” , Microsoft said.
With technology and support from Microsoft, the bank developed its Sales Proposal Builder (SPB) application and integrated it with Microsoft Teams, a collaboration platform.
“Integrating SPB into Microsoft Teams has made it seamless and easy for the sales team to leverage the new platform,” the technology company said.
“Security Bank uses Microsoft solutions such as SharePoint and Office 365 for collaboration and Microsoft Teams as its main communication tool.”
“Part of what makes the SPB application flexible, scalable and cost effective is that it is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Service Logic applications integrated into Microsoft Azure enable Security Bank to automate document generation and file uploads to SharePoint,” the company added.
At the same time, the company said the bank, which has 316 branches, has also benefited from Azure deployment slots, which allow it to easily update a solution without any upfront cost.
Regarding the impact of this innovation on the bank’s sales operations, the company said: “With the SPB application, the preparation of proposals now takes only 15 to 30 minutes compared to an average of two hours previously, while the Approval process from various internal groups now takes about 24 hours where previously it took two weeks.
