President urges expats to take advantage of Pakistan’s secure investment policies

DUBAI, Oct 9 (APP): President Dr Arif Alvi said on Saturday that a prosperous Pakistan was emerging on the world stage and urged Pakistanis overseas to benefit from the country’s secure investment policies.

Addressing an event related to the Roshan Apna Ghar initiative for expatriates, the president said that Pakistan, the fifth most populous country in the world, has set high targets to achieve development in various fields.

He said that not only the resources, but the vision and the right policies have greatly contributed to the development of a nation.

Expressing his optimism about Pakistan, he said he had high hopes that the country would make progress in the world through its progressive policies.

The president said the Pakistani nation has become a resilient nation after overcoming great challenges, such as terrorism and recently the coronavirus pandemic.

Business adviser Abdul Razak Dawood said the Pakistani economy was on the right track with encouraging economic indicators.

He mentioned that the country’s export and agricultural sectors are experiencing strong growth.

He said he was convinced that due to the effective policies of the government, the sustainable development of Pakistan would continue for the benefit of its people.

State Bank of Pakistan Governor Dr Reza Baqir said that in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision, the SBP is facilitating overseas Pakistanis with incentives such as Roshan digital accounts, which allow the repatriation of the capital.

He said the banks were competing to facilitate the Roshan Apna Ghar initiative for overseas Pakistanis and ensure their easy investment in the country.

He said Pakistan was one of the few countries in the world to have experienced immense growth even during the challenge of the Covid19 pandemic.
