City Congress will hold a protest and show black flags
The Congress party announced on Wednesday that it would show black flags to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s convoy during his March 6 visit.
Calling the Prime Minister’s visit political, the party is said to be protesting his statement that Congress was responsible for the spread of Covid in northern India and the repeated insults of King Maratha Shivaji allegedly by BJP leaders.
“At a campaign rally recently, the Prime Minister accused the State Congress of spreading Covid in North India. We will condemn it by staging a protest against the Prime Minister during his visit to the city and show black flags to his convoy,” said the city’s Congress leader, Ramesh Bagawe.
