Bahrain – SICO – a regional asset manager, broker, market maker and investment bank – has signed a contract with Beyon Cyber for managed cybersecurity services.
Launched in January, Beyon Cyber is a subsidiary of Batelco and focuses on offering advanced end-to-end cybersecurity solutions, with managed services and consulting to organizations in Bahrain and the region.
The partnership, which was signed by SICO Managing Director Najla Al Shirawi and Beyon Cyber Managing Director Dr Shaikh Khalid bin Duaij Al Khalifa, will improve the cybersecurity maturity of the IT infrastructure of the bank to further accelerate its digital transformation journey.
Bahrain’s banking and financial sector has been digitally transformed through the application of emerging technologies.
As a result, the industry has become increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks, hence the importance of protecting the business against increasing cyberthreats and losses.
SICO selected Beyon Cyber with her unique profile and vast experience as a partner in this mission.
Commenting, Ms. Al Shirawi said, “We are delighted to partner with a distinguished national company providing sophisticated and much-needed cybersecurity solutions enabling us to manage and mitigate business risks.
Dr. Shaikh Khalid commented, “We are delighted to have been selected as the security services provider for SICO, as it allows us to support their exciting innovation strategy towards digital transformation. We believe that a strong digital strategy should be built on a secure foundation with built-in security-by-design principles.
This partnership allows us to bring our years of experience in monitoring and responding to cyber threats to SICO to help protect against advanced cyber threats.
