Spintly brings contactless and wireless access control systems to create an ideal working environment
The Covid-19 pandemic has become a constant factor to consider in today’s global economy. Since its emergence, it has changed the way everyday life works and brought demands of a new era for contactless and automated security solutions that are both reliable and easy to use for residential and business use cases. There is an ever-increasing need for a physical security solution that is easy to install, manage and use. The adoption of access control as a service continues to grow, but it has already started to have a long term impact in the industry.
Spintly has been working on a technology that allows an access control system to operate completely wirelessly and this has become very relevant in the current situation we find ourselves in the midst of the pandemic. Spintly has introduced the concept of the contactless access control system and clocking-in solution to thousands of SMB and corporate customers. Traditional access control systems involve a large amount of wiring between the doors and the control room, resulting in huge costs in terms of material and labor. Powered by wireless BLE mesh technology, the Spintly access control solution can be deployed with almost no wiring or wiring. Spintly manufactures products that are easy to install and configure to facilitate quick, convenient and economical door access.
The idea for Spintly was born in a building management room full of door controllers, fire alarm panels, lighting control panels and many wires to connect all the systems. Equipment occupied an entire room of the building and cables ran through the floors of the building. Rohin Parkar and Malcolm D’souza conceptualized a controllerless, fully wireless building automation platform that would enable all devices such as access control readers, smoke detectors, lights, etc. to communicate with each other over a mesh network allowing these devices to create their own decisions. Thus, Spintly was developed as a unified wireless platform for building automation. They decided to focus on the physical security aspect of buildings to begin with and built a complete end-to-end solution for access control.
Spintly manufactures hardware devices such as wireless smart locks, readers and edge gateways that communicate with Spintly’s cloud platforms, providing affordable access control to every door. Spintly also offers cloud-based software modules for access control, time and attendance, and contactless visitor management.
Speaking about their vision, Co-Founder and CEO Rohin Parkar says, “Wireless technology has become ubiquitous and we use it to talk to people, browse the internet, attend Zoom meetings, etc. But surprisingly, things in the building like access control readers, smoke detectors, lights, HVAC systems, etc. still communicate with each other via wired technologies that were developed almost half a century ago. We are on the brink of a wireless revolution in building automation and at Spintly we want to be the pioneer in making this revolution happen ”
In addition to the same goal, co-founder and CTO, Malcolm D’souza shares, “We believe there is immense potential in India to design, develop and produce cutting-edge technologies and products that can meet market needs. global. Now is the perfect time for India and Indian start-ups to take on the global giants and show that India is the next frontier of technological innovation. “
The Spintly BLE mesh-based IoT platform allows gates to communicate with each other and send data through the gates to the cloud. Spintly offers access control solutions for various market segments including corporate offices, coworking spaces, small businesses, manufacturing facilities, residential communities and hospitality. Other market segments like education, healthcare, and logistics also have areas of searing pain that Spintly can resolve. Spintly has expanded its presence in India, the Middle East and Africa through a strong network of resellers and partners.
Spintly aims to become the global leader in wireless access control and building automation with its cloud-based platform. The company aims to increase its presence in international markets such as Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. The company is also investing in the development of new technologies that will help it grow in the building automation industry.
